Hi VJ members

I am and a newbie here who have a few questions to ask. I petitioned for my spouse and daughter in June 2015 for a F2A visa.I submitted all my documents to NVC and waiting for my case to complete. I am now a citizen and would like to upgrade the petition to IR1 and IR2. I sent my naturalization certificate to NVC already awaiting upgrade for spouse but yet to submit I-130 for my daughter. How long will it take to file a new I-130 for my daughter? What do I do to make my spouse and daughter attend the interview at the same time?

Highly unlikely to have interview for both at the same time. NVC will likely schedule an interview for your wife soon (say 2-3 moths). For your kid, you have to file i-130 which itself might take 5 months depending upon the service center and then only NVC process can begin.

Spouse:

File I-130 for your daughter immediately and add an application to expedite. In the application, state why you need it expedited and add the NOA2 for the original petition. I believe your daughter will be assigned the same priority date as your wife originally since she was on that application.

Hopefully VJ'ers with experience on this can help with more details
