So I'm trying to reach out to my fellow swedes here who has/currently are going through the k1 visa process and was just wondering about the vaccination requirements.

I as most swedes have participated in the vaccination program we have here and have recieved all of my vaccination according to the program and was just wondering if there are any additional vaccinations you have to get in order to fullfill the USCIS requierements?

What did the doctor performing the med exam say and which vaccinations did you have to get? Do you get them during the exam or before/after?

I'm Dane but also have the interview in Sweden. Both me and my boy have had all the vaccines as kids as we do up here and none of us needed any vaccines at the medical.

But here is the Scandinavian forum :)

Thank you Georgia! How come you're having the interview in Sweden and not in Denmark?

Both Norway and Denmark have it in Sweden. I guess because we are so few you does K-1/CR-1 that they have decided to only do it in Sweden to save personal the other places will be my guess.

Yeah that makes sense, still weird though. I mean it's pretty impractical for you that needs to travel that far for an interview. It takes me about 45 min to get to the consulate so I'm not even gonna complain haha.

But what won't you do for love right?

Take it it's the one in Stockholm?

Required vaccinations: http://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/exams/ti/civil/vaccination-civil-technical-instructions.html#tbl1

At your exam your Dr. will discuss and determine which you will need. If you have any documentation as to the ones you have had, bring that along to your medical appointment to discuss with your Dr.

Okay I couldnt find where to open a new topic so Im just gonna give it a shot here again.

I read somewhere that you have to wait 10 days before applying for a Social Security Number, however is it possible to apply for it lets say a couple of days after my arrival to the US? Anyone who knows?
