U.S. Department of State case status shows as following:

Administrative Processing

Case Creation Date: 01-Apr-2016 Status Updated Date: 05-May-2016

what does administrative processing means?

case status was" ready" until today. Does administrative processing means they are going over our case?

And Guangzhou consulate has received my case I think. Though I haven't received any email notice nor any mail.

We received NO2 on March 10th. It has been 2 months now and why is it taking so long?

Thanks everyone for your time and help

if it is in the embassy as you think, they could be making a security check

At this point AP means exactly as it says Administrative Processing

same here, same case creation date, and the status was Ready until it changed to Administrative Processing today. My feeling is that Guangzhou consulate is doing batch processing
