RFE (2014 tax transcript) received 11/21/15

EAD/AP received 1/25/16

Interview & approval 4/22/16

NOA received 3/13/18

Biometrics 5/4/18

18 month extension received 8/13/18

 

N-400 submitted 1/22/19!

Ours was 65 days from NOA1 to getting the EAD/AP in my hands. You don't have a timeline filled out, so when did you get your NOA1?

Took my sister-in-law 5 months to get hers. (Just got it a week ago).

My advice...start calling after 90 days.

They transferred her case "due to workload" twice!

We haven't even submitted yet. I'm still waiting on that damn marriage license. Tomorrow makes 3 weeks since we married.

Not sure how marriage license works in California. In North Carolina our officiant let us keep the documents we completed on the Sunday of the wedding. We were able to file the next day and given the option to wait for marriage license in 10 mins or have it mailed to us. We waited so had in it hand 10 minutes later. Do you know how long it is supposed to take?

Don't you need the licence before you get married and the marriage cert afterwards?

Probably. I originally referred to it as marriage certificate, and was corrected. So I'm now referring to it as license. Either way, I'm waiting on the non customer copy. I'm considering just going down to the offices tomorrow. It's so annoying how everyone who works for the county and government take their sweet time on tasks that take a couple of minutes.

Do not know who corrected you, incorrectly, but the marriage license is what you purchase in order to get married. The marriage certificate is what you get back from the courts once your marriage has been registered. The I-485 requires a copy of your marriage certificate.
