hello everyone.

Am new on this site.i have a situation at hand which i need an advice from wonderful people all over the word.i have been with my wife going to 5yrs now.I move to US 2014 with a 2yrs conditional GC. right the moment i enter US my marriage changed.my wife told me that in US women has an upper hand, meaning that what ever she want i must do.i followed what ever she says but now am concerned because she playing the role of husband and wife.she shops for me,she buy me things she likes no minding if i like them or not.the list of things happening in my marriage is endless.

Now my concerned is that we both Filled for ROC early March and i already done my Biometry same March. Now my wife want to divorce me and she want to cancel all the joint stuff we have together, such as life insurance, car insurance joint bank account and all other stuffs but ever since i moved to US we having been living in her Aunty's apartment.

My question,if she divorce me and cancel all the document we send as an evidence! will it affect my ROC or will i be denied?

She ask me to move out of the House or she will put a restrain order on me.if this happens will it affect my ROC?

thank you Guys in advance

I doubt she can make you move out, seek legal advice.

I hope you do keep a copy of your whole ROC package with all the joint financial stuff evidence.

Also be careful of her accusing you of domestic violence and call police on you.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

You really need to retain competent legal counsel NOW, to protect yourself, your rights and your immigration status.

You can continue the process without your wife's help. Even though she can't legally put you out of the house without serving you eviction notice, you know our people. She will make your life miserable and not just her, but the Ghanaian community in your area if she is a Ghanaian also. It is best you get your importance paperwork, move out and get a lawyer . It is not going to be cheap. Nothing is cheap here.

But if you are looking to resolve your issues since your main issue was you been allowed to be the man of the household, then counseling will be the other option. There is a big Ghanaian community that can talk to you and your wife is you want to consider that option. Problems such as yours are becoming in the Ghanaian-American community.PM if you want to be connected to them.

Good luck to you!

just want to know if she cancel all those document if it will affect my ROC

Get copies of every piece of evidence you have that proves that your marriage was bonafide. You need copies of everything, get them ASAP, while you still can. You can divorce and ROC on your own, there is a lot of info on this site, just search. Edited by blest.but.strest

There's nothing as worse than a woman trying to be In charge. Im sorry you going thru all of these. But my advice is if you can still hang in the marriage until you get approved, then do it. If you think she might call a police on you or filed a restraining order against you, then move on and cancel this present petition then file again with waiver. It is really going to be tough. You going to get interviewed and most possibly a stoke interview. Make sure to have (sufficient!!!!!) documents to convince the I/O. Do not let her call the immigration on you. They are as worse more than police. You want to live in US? They determined if that is going to happen. Keep up with prayers and heads up. You love your wife and that's why you with her not just for green card.
