Hello guys, this k-1 visa is so stressful. :crying:

i have a lot of questions i hope someone will be able to help us. I am planning asking my questions in here in the future so i will have a full process in one thread.

First of all at i-129f if we fill the part 2 / 31.a part should we fill the part 2 / 3.a part?

When we are filling the pt 2 / 31.a should we type in english or turkish which is turkish is the native language. For example Country: Turkey or Country: Türkiye

Please really my mind will explode we dont want to do anything wrong.

Thank you. :goofy:

Sorry for bad english

You are petitioning to USCIS so you must write in English.

Turkey for the country. You write English alphabet letters.

Pertaining to the address section for example if the address has "Sokak" then you write Sokak not the translated "Street".

Are you planning on using this thread to ask all your questions throughout your process? IMO one thread for multiple questions is fine if they're asked in a short period of time. But after a week or so less people read old threads so you'll get way fewer responses than if you started a new thread. If you're concerned about starting too many threads, try using the search feature on this site. You will probably find the majority of your questions have already been asked and answered.

As for your question, the I-129f should be filled out entirely in English except that one section where they ask you to write your name if it's not traditionally written using the Roman alphabet. So if your fiancé is Chinese, that's where you'd use the Chinese characters.

Part 2 question 2a is your fiancé's name. You have to put that there in English.

Part 2 question 31a only applies if your fiancé comes from a country where they use a different alphabet like Thailand or China. Turkey uses a Roman alphabet so you can skip this if he is Turkish.

Timeline in brief:

He is american, i am turkish. He and i are filling the form together. He is filling for me.

I have surname like that "Yılmaz"

That's why we should fill part 2/31.a i guess.

My address has that "Bahçelievler" that's why we should fill.

But should he fill the 31.a and 2.a at the same time or are we gonna put a blank to 2.a because we are filling 31.a

In America we speak, read and write in English. Please do so when you move here - or at least try. Thank you, we appreciate it.

OP, In the United States there is no legal requirement to learn English to get a K-1 Visa, Adjust Status, or Remove Conditions. There is an English test when you are in the process of being naturalized, but that is not something that is required to live in the U.S.

While it's very true you will most likely have a much easier go of it here if you can speak and read some English, it's still entirely up to you.

People may disagree with it but that's the law right now. Learn at your own pace and don't let anyone bully or discourage you.

The United States does not currently have a national official language.

Thank you. I found wandy so irrelevant that said something like that. I didn't ask about which language i should speak in america. I was asking about forms. So i didn't care so much about what he/she said.

So, what should we do? Should i fill both of it. Like part 2/2.a and part 2/31.a or only part 2/31.a

Yilmaz are all Roman letters !!!! 100% sure.

I had to put in a Turkish address too and was fine in skipping 31a

If you are worried about it then just put the "Bahçelievler" in the 31 for address but I would not do that. Just type a c instead of ç

you will be fine !

Yilmaz are all Roman letters !!!! 100% sure.

I had to put in a Turkish address too and was fine in skipping 31a

If you are worried about it then just put the "Bahçelievler" in the 31 for address but I would not do that. Just type a c instead of ç

you will be fine !

Thank you! You are the best.
