I'm wondering about how i wrote my declaration of how we met. I wrote ONE letter detailing the timeline of how we met and our relationship and at the end I wrote a paragraph about my intent to marry within 90 days. Now I'm wondering if there will be an issue and if I needed to have sent TWO different letters. I'm the one sponsoring my fiance. Does anyone know if this could be an issue?

Not originally. But we already sent his in as it was the RFE. I wish I had found this site BEFORE I started my process. It's been two weeks, so we're just waiting for an answer!

No, My fiance wrote his own intent to marry. Signed it and we sent (not a scan or fax, a real copy).

I wrote my own intent to marry, which also included my declaration of how we met. Signed it.

My original question was in regards to my intent also being a declaration.

Could be. For the 129f petition, they want to know about your meeting in person within the past two years.....not how you first met.

Also the beneficiary has to submit a signed letter of intent also.

I understand your original question, I was trying to get a more complete picture of the situation. If you just sent in your fiances's LoI without having received a RFE, it may or may not be matched up with your file, and you could end up with an RFE for it anyway. If you did send it in in response to a RFE, then no you should not also expect an RFE for having combined your own LoI along with how you met.

NP. In the original packet I only sent my letter of intent with the declaration + outline of my visits there. It was all in one letter. We knew we had not put his in, but only responded after we got the RFE. This has already been such a long process and we haven't even received the NOA2. :(

Looks like we're on the same schedule as you are and for the same reason, although I also overlooked a question on the forms. I'll feel better once we get the NOA2.

I signed up on the USCIS site for email / text notifications so I will know ASAP when there's news.
