We have been waiting with a case complete status at the NVC for over 4 months. No end in sight for getting an interview in Ankara. Does anyone have an idea of how long this might take?

Does anyone know if Ankara is operating normally? In light of the recent bombings I also worry if we will get an interview soon. We are now at 2 months with a case complete at NVC.

What things did you have to bring with you. Our letter indicates that we only need his passport, birth cert, and medical report but the Ankara website states that they require originals of pretty much everything as well as an additional $325.

To be honest I brought every original documents but I missed one of the original document( previous marriage termination) and they insisted on the original document and I told them I don't have it and I showed them my vital records that shows the divorce. I was very afraid about that but they still approved my visa. I brought bunch of documents including our wedding album etc that was so much and even the officer laught at that. So it all really depends on the officers decision. I would recommend to bring all the originals which they requested. Just for making your mind relaxed My interview questions were

1. How long have you been in Turkey with your wife?

2. What are you doing in Turkey?

3.What will you do in US?

4. My previous J1 2 year rule requirement?

5. Where is your family?

6. Do you have relatives in US?

I don't even remember the officer asked me more but even if she asked for sure it was very easy to answer that I don't even remember.

The funniest part of the interview was, even if I needed to show my wedding album there was not enough room to put throught the hole of the window.

Good luck

Hi everyone. My husband lives in Iran and will have his visa interview next month. Finally! Does anyone know if every Iranian resident has to go through the Administrative processing thing? Or is it only for people with criminal records?

Not everyone gets hit with administrative processing but I don't think people know who do and do not have to go through it. Also, do you mind if I ask what your case complete date was? I'm curious to know how many days you had to wait until the interview was scheduled.
