Timeline

I recently got my 10 yr green card through marriage to a US citizen. Shortly after filing for removal of conditions, I left US to study abroad(am currently in a private American University abroad) and will be returning right before I hit the year mark(about 10 months outside USA). However, I did continuously live in US after adjustment of status for over 18 months but took two trips for less than a month on each. I have kept ties with US through tax returns, student loans, bank accounts. Please let me know on my fate. Ask questions just in case am leaving something out. Thanks, I appreciate your help.

It seems you might have broken your continuous residence. You can reason with interviewer with ties proof but it is up to his/her discretion to pass you though. Only know when you apply. Good luck.

I'm not sure but you might get some answers here:

https://www.uscis.gov/iframe/ilink/docView/SLB/HTML/SLB/0-0-0-1/0-0-0-11261/0-0-0-30960/0-0-0-31016.html#0-0-0-19579

It should take you to chapter 316.5 which deals with residency. They're are several items listed as proof that an absence between 6 months and a year was not a break in residence.

Good luck!
