Worrying for nothing, but can I get some reassurance please?

Hey all!

So some good news, our I-129F was delivered on Thursday after a hold up from USPS so I'm super excited to finally get the ball rolling! However, there's something I'm somewhat concerned about even though it's likely nothing.

Social media. Now I don't mind if the ConOff or USCIS wanna browse my social media, that's all good - all I post are bodybuilding articles, rants about NFL and my fiancé posting puppy videos to my timeline. However, I have a lot of old email addresses and one old Twitter floating around that I can't access, there isn't anything at all bad on this Twitter - just me tweeting about rock music, and chatting with some girl from California, this was a year before I met my fiancé and I was single at the time so there was some light flirting, but that's it. I also signed up to some dating/hook up sites when I was single too.

I realise I'm entirely overreacting and the ConOff at London probably won't even care if they even check my social media at all, and I'm looking for things to worry about - but could one of you wonderful people please tell me to shut up and stop inventing worry? :)

Shut up and stop inventing worry !!!!

You are not being vetted by the FBI or CIA or the special task force on The Blacklist because you are so-o-o important.

A London interview is so easy. They will want nothing proving your relationship. You stand at a window like at a bank and have a short chat. "What is your finance's name? How did you guys meet? What kind of work does he/she do? How do you like [insert name of his/her state]? " Okay. Approved. Real easy conversation.

Oh my apologies!

I keep hearing it's real easy at London, but I suppose it's definitely a 'fear of the unknown' kind of thing! Thanks for your reply though, it's eased my mind :)

Good. No apology needed. I'm just messing with you to lighten your mood.

I wasn't asked that many questions? I think my experience was more normal.

Hahaha.

A K1 visa interview in London is likely a veritable walk in the park compared to a K1 interview in Guangzhou. I dare say!

YMMV.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

You should have absolutely no issues. ;)

Just breathe and remember the following:

Do I have all my documents needed on the day of the interview?

Do I have my long form birth certificate needed on the day of the interview and have I mysteriously misplaced it and am freaking my fiancé out?

Do I have my passport before I leave the house for the embassy?

Do I glaze over in a half panic half sensation of euphoria at being approved and forget to ask for all my original documents back before leaving the embassy?

Otherwise I don't think you should worry about your social media, so long as you aren't displaying your current life as a gangster/heads on a stick/giant wad of cash you just made off of a trans-atlantic drug cartel deal/or other criminal activity... or your five wives on the side. :dancing:

I was asked

"Where are you going to be living in the US?"

*Do you like it there?"

"Should I consider moving there too?"

That was it - a bit weird - but short and sweet - took about 3 minutes of chat at the window after a 2 hour wait in the waiting room.
