They're trained at reading body language, tone of voice, facial expressions etc. Unless you're an extremely good liar, most people give away little hints when they are in fact lying.

Plus I would think and hope that no one's stupid enough to falsify information to the federal government, as it would be bye bye visa and could mean hello prison.

She was very nervous for a week before the interview. It was in Manila. It was more simple than imagined.

She talked to the consular through a window with other applicants all gathered around behind her.

Its not an interrogation. They ask basic questions. They just want to get an idea and a feel for who you are.

He gave little attention to content of the photos, the stack of receipts, the financial info,

or any of the details of her bio, for that matter. What he was impressed with was her scrapbook.

When we provided photos of us meeting within the 2 years, we merely labeled the photos with place, date, and people in photos. Listing the people in the photos is really the best you can do. It's not a huge concern to worry over. Just follow instructions. USCIS and DoS can investigate matters if it was really deemed necessary.

The photos are not looked at on their own; remember they have info on the parents and siblings from your bio, and may ask; they may have checked your social media and if there are doubts, can also visit your neighbourhood and ask.

Hello again Selmaben.

I did say that it would be a good idea to have your pics with family members for the interview. My CO did not look at the any pics that I had. Perhaps ours was a unique case for it being a same-sex marriage. However, three were others in the room for a K1 interview and many of their photos were looked at and questioned. Each case is different and each CO is different in how they handle the case. But for all you know, pics with family in the backyard over a BBQ party may come in handy.
