HELP!! Santo Domingo Consul

Hello everyone !! I called NVC and was told my case would be shipped to D.R consul on Monday..

I was wondering how long will it take to get to D.R?? and after they receive it in the consul how long after till I get the interview date?? Thanks any advice after Case complete (Jan 4,2016) would be greatly appreciated !!

i would say it depends on the consulate how busy they are . But you should have interview date with in a month after it reaches the counslate .

yeah, I would say in about a month give or take a week or two, but once you get the notice, you will need to hit the ground running, because it's a lot to do between the notice and the interview date

It's cr1 visa.. not k-1 but what more is after the notice..besides the finger prints,clinic?? Helppp plzz lol and whenn should I start all that... thing that won't "expire" like any photographs? or documents that need to be collected? Any help will be appreciated Thanks

You still need to be hitting the ground running. I have seen instances where they were notified of an interview date, which was 3 1/2 weeks away ... so they still needed to do medicals, police background checks, visa application fees, have plenty of passport style photos on hand, gathering originals and making copies of the originals etc.

Everything you need to do will be in the appointment letter that they send you. Also, check the interview list on the embassy's web site to see if your interview has been scheduled. We all know that DR mail can be slow, so knowing ahead of time could help in case you never received it. that way you can send an email to the embassy and they can email you a copy of everything.

you should start as soon as you get your letter, but somethings you can do now, like the police background check, the passport photos, copies of your original documents, eg birth certs, and marriage certs or divorce decrees, etc.
