hello,

im trying to get a supporter for my fianci in algeria, though no one i know makes over the poverty line by them self. so my question is... how many afidavits of support are you aloud to file???

As far as I know only one is allowed they have to meet all financial requirements. Also, they prefer to see family members from US petitioners as sponsors. And thirdly, check with your embassy if they even allow joint sponsors.

K1 Visa

AOS filed and delivered: 2016-4-18

Check cashed by USCIS: 2016-5-4

Text notification received: 2016-5-5

NOA arrived in mail for AOS, EAD, AP: 2016-5-7

Biometrics Appointment: 2016-5-24

Service request created by me since we have not heard anything about EAD: 2016-7-12

Status changed to EAD card being produced: 2016-7-21

Received EAD Card and AP in mail: 2016-7-28

Interview for Green card -  Approved: 2016-9-15

Received Green card: 2016-10-9

I believe k1 u can't have a joint sponser... I know cr1 u can

1/4/2016 petition received at NVC (call and confirm it arrives. About 15 days try to get your case number and receipt number, I got mine in 11 days)

1/15/2016 Called NVC and got case/invoice number logged into this site to pay fees, pick agent -> https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx 1/15/2016 picked agent DS-261

1/18/2016 paid aos fee

1/28/2016 review 261 to get iv fee unlocked ( unlocked once I did review,was taking to long)

2/1/ 2016 sent AOS & IV packets together to nvc while I waited for iv fee to open to save time.

2/4/2016 paid IV Fee and waited to do ds260

2/3/2016 nvc received aos and iv packets(scan date)

2/7/2016 ds260 completed and now waiting for cc

♧CASE COMPLETE. .. march 8th

3/11/15 interview email

4/20/15 shots 4/25/15 rest of medical exam

INTERVIEW APRIL 27TH @8:30

April 27th 221g for additional documentation and placed in administrative processsing.

June 20th submitted evidence requested

you CAN have a joint sponsor on K1, it depends on each embassy like I said. Most embassies do accept a joint sponsor but it can only be ONE.

K1 Visa

Algeria can be a tough embassy, most I know are put into AP if you get the male Officer. Some also needed co sponser cause one year met requirements for nvc but algeria wants 3 years(cr1 visa). It's the luck of which officer you get. we will be at our interview soon, maybe April. Pray we get the woman and not the man. Lol

Also, fill out your timeline. Helps others from algeria gauge time on visas and also gives the site stats on processing times

Only one. You can not combine sponsors.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

Hi,

Is there only one sponsor that is accepted for k3 visa in US Embassy in Algeria?

Anyone know? Im unemployed for the last year and was going to have my brother co sponsor my husband.

Packet 3 indicated "if an affidavit of support is to be submitted, Form 1-134 should be used"

i134 for me and have my bro fill out an i134?

see under our names, says timeline. Make one for you, you input when u get noa1, send forms etc etc. U can click mine and see....it helps others going through certain centers, embassies etc gauge time. Edited by FarrahIdir
