Joint sponsor - family of beneficiary, is this acceptable?

I'm a US citizen applying for a CR1 spouse visa for my husband, and I am going to need a joint sponsor for the AOS.

My spouse's sister is married to a US citizen and living in the US. Her husband (the US citizen) offered to be our joint sponsor but they expressed concern about their relation to my spouse. They are worried this will raise a red flag and the NVC will think my husband only wants to come to America to be with his sister and her family. Is their concern legitimate, and should I be looking for a different joint sponsor?

No problem at all.

All they are worried about is how much he earns and that it is earned legally and he is resident in the USA at the moment.

The only problem I can see is if your marriage is very short. That could question the reason for your marriage. But having a relative living in the US is not a problem. He should be ready to answer questions about his sister's marriage.

I provided evidence of a 2+ year relationship and we've been married since August. Do you think this is good enough?

Yes, that is quiet good. I have seen some getting married a week before filing. In those cases, you better have a train load of proof of your relationship.
