I am in need of some information. Our case is complete and just waiting for interviw date. My step son was listed on the petition to join at a later time but, I've see financially I can file the petition for now. Would it be too later to expedite his paperwork. Or what is the best advice someone could share?

He never could follow to join. The stepson needs his own petition. You can try to expedite it but it will never get through the whole system before the interview.

Thank you from my understanding and information I've gathered from here that Jamaica Embassy could take as long as possible a May 2016 interview. Which still isn't enough time but could possibly be enough to information them it's in the process. Crossing fingers

Different visa type. Cannot do this.

I guess not except being a waste of time. A step child of a USC is considered a child of a USC and there are no derivatives in the USC spousal visa class.

Thank you it won't hurt to call and try

You would be wasting time that could be used to file the I-130. You can not afford to waste time to file the I-130. Delay filing the I-130 just makes your situation worse.
