Goodnight Everyone!
Hello I hope everyone is doing fine, this is my first question in the forum.
I would like to know what happens after you sent the I-129F, I read that they will send a letter to your residence
letting know the petition has been accepted.
Is there any other way we can contact them to know that, can we call or email to them and ask?
My fiance lives alone and he's a truck driver, so he wont be going home in a couple months and sometimes
his mailbox gets so full that they start sending all the mail back to the sender.

Thank you very much! :dancing:

Another suggestion would be to have your fiancé arrange for someone trustworthy to pick up his mail when he is away for long periods.

Thank you so much for your help.

Yeah we talked about his neighbor picking his mail but he's not very excited with the idea.

The USCIS app sounds like the best option now.

Again thank you very much, have a good day!

When you submitted your petition, did you include the form for email/text notifications?

Another suggestion...for those trips that are within 30 days, he could see if the USPS mail hold service is available in his area. I use it when I travel, but the time limit is 3-30 days. https://holdmail.usps.com/holdmail/

No, we didn't submit the petition to get the notification by mail or phone, but my fiance called today and they told him to call ten days from the day the package arrived.

And he also contacted the post office and they'll hold his mail for the next month.

Thank you very much for your ideas, it was really helpful.

Take care :)

Hola Kata!

Uy si hablas español mucho mejor!

I'm from Cali, we sent the package on Monday and it got there on Thursday, we knew it got there because we checked the post office track.

But we haven't got any notification, any mail, nothing yet. I'm guessing it'll take a few days to get some respond.

How long it took for you to received the mail? And I'm not sure what's the next step, not sure if its the NOA2 or they'll try to contact you from the embassy.

Wish you luck with your process! It's nice to hear from other Colombian cases

Yes you can sign up for email updates. Also you can go online and check the status.
My fiance lives alone and he's a truck driver, so he wont be going home in a couple months and sometimes
his mailbox gets so full that they start sending all the mail back to the sender.
Then tell him to go online and fill out the USPS mail hold option. They will keep all his mail at the Post Office until the date he returns. He can specify that date and they will drop his box of mail on the date he desires...or he can tell them to hold it and he will pick it up at the PO>

Thank you very much! :dancing:
