USPS Lost EAD Card, what to do now

Hello together,

I can't believe it but after USCIS not USPS is messing it up. No clue why anyone would send documents anyway via USPS and not FedEx or USP.

My EAD Card was suppose to arrive on Wednesday according to the Trackingnumber I got from USCIS. Since Tuesday it is somewhere in New York and I doubt that they will ever find it. I already have a Service Request send to USPS and I call them all the time but obviously there are no help.

Is there a way I can request a new EAD card with USCIS before the 30 Day waiting time is over? Has anybody ever done it? Clearly if they don't find it by the end of the week it makes no sense to wait another two weeks and I really need to work

I would give it at least a week for USPS to find it.

Happy to hear you were finally approved for the EAD but sorry another hassle was around the corner.

It is sometimes a maze to get to the right person from USPS (just like USCIS  ) but I would really push and push them to locate it

rather than dealing with USCIS on a new combo card which would take even longer. Call any USPS number you can to get to a helpful person.

We did it with a lost package and it was horrible but we pushed through.

Perhaps make an infopass and get your passport stamped ?

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

Just calm down. I am sure the usps will be able to find it. You have the rest of your life to work. Enjoy being with your partner. Remember, they went through a lot to have you come here. What kind of career do you have?
