I would greatly appreciate if any of your share your experience on this or any suggestion.. You have

.I want to know your view on this my fiancee and myself met through social media and we were just friends till somewhere 2015 where we got to know we have been more than friends we started talking and now I engaged her .. when she came to visit me in Ghana we had really a good time .. Now we want to start the petition but we don't know where to start from we are both scared of unnecessary delays ... And we wanted to go in for attorney but that's really a big money so we thinking of doing it on our own and doing it right we have copies of the airline ticket and just a receipt of a guest house she spent the night in .....the rest was at my apartment we have receipts of shopping malls and restaurant we ate from and bus tickets and others. my question is

Are all this evidence enough?

And whiles the petitions is going on can she visit me or I visit her in the USA ?

Do you have any photos of you and your fiancee together?

My then fiancé now hubby met online too. The second time we spent together we too spent a lot of time at his apartment because of typical English weather it was always raining lol. But when it came to evidence I sent a lot of photos of us together, restraunt receipts, airline tickets and matched them with the stamp in my passport to show we have met in person on those days. I personally don't feel like a lawyer is necessary. Visajourney has a lot of tools to walk you step by step instructions and everyone on here is super friendly and helpful with answering questions. If it helps to also go under your own country portal too because you can discuss things with people that have been through a similar situation and know more of what to expect from the embassy there. Hope this was a little helpful :)

Best wishes and good luck!

Welcome to the forum. Read the K-1 Guides (link atop any VJ page).

I'm moving this thread from the Introducing our Members forum to the K-1 Process forum, where similar threads are posted.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Also read interview reviews in your country portal section. Your embassy is not easy o. And you need to be prepared.

She should visit you as much as possible. If you want to try and get a Visitor Visa nothing is stopping you. The chances of being approved though is very slim.

Your #1 evidence will be time together. Creating a meaningful lasting relationship. Nothing butt time together can convey that.

Go read the threads in your forum and reviews. very helpful so you don;t make unnecessary mistakes.

If you have red flags be sure to have evidence to cover that also.

Welcome to VJ.

Hello thank you for your help but I may not have to go to Ghana embassy after all...because my job will be sending me to Dubai next month and I will be there through the process of petition period so I assume I will have to face the Dubai consulate instead of my home country.. Ghana

Well you have to get residency first. Most countries you have to be there 6 months to get that.

Also remember you are still a Ghanaian so all rules and scrutiny may apply. It's not a cake walk by any means. You still need to prepare a robust evidence package to be successful. And the visits and time together most certainly still apply.

The only red flag in my case in aware of is our age difference.....idk what kind of evidence I need to give on that I just got to know age diff can be a red flag

And since Dubai is not an English speaking country and I will be moving there to work that can be a red flag for us....
