Help organizing my i130 petition?!?

HI everyone, I'm new here and this is my first time filing. I was born and raised in the US but moved to Egypt when I got married to my husband. I want to file for a green card for him andI've started the i130 and g325a for us. However, im told there needs to be a specific way all of.our paperwork and evidence needs to be filed ? Help? !?

Be carefull with G-325A form, on the second page at the botttom there is a rectangle in black thick lines: DO NOT USE YOUR COMPUTER TO TYPE YOUR NAME THERE, many people do this and get an RFE from USCIS. (RFE mean Request For Evidence) Its a couple of weeks or even months delay because you have to resubmit forms wrongly filled or bad documentation. Bak to the point, WRITE YOUR NAME IN MOLD LETTERS.

Sign your documents using dark blue ink so there is no doubt about being an original document with a "wet signature".

Watch dates, no gaps in domiciles and jobs.

Read WIKI and GUIDES, (TABS on VJ home page).

READ the I-130 instructions.

Translations do no need to be notarized, a friend can translate them and sign a statement for each document as indicated on link above.

Do not get ripped off paying $ 24 US dollars per page for translations.

NOTE: File a G-1145 for electronic notifications along with your I-130.

Thanks for your reaponse! But the g325a I filed is only one page and doesn't have that box . It only has a bold outlined box to write in alien registration number etc.

I am sorry, I mentioned a second page in the G-325A ,mistakenly. I became confused with the I-130 itself which has two pages.

You are right, the G-325A is one page.

But at the bottom of the G-325A there is a big rectangular box in heavy border and on top says:

Applicant: Print your name and Alien Registration Number in the box outlined by heavy border below.

Inside the box says:

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Complete this box:( Family Name) (Given Name) (Middle name) Alien Registration Number

A

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

In that box is where you hand write your name in block letters.

Note: It is recommended that the petitioner always uses his/hers Alien number where it is asked. It helps USCIS to verify who you are.

If you do not know what is your Alien Number, it is the number of your old green card, that number is also in the US Citizenship certificate and always starts with the letter A. For the beneficiary type NONE when it refers to an Alien Number.

I'm leaving both blank because I'm already a natural born American citizen so I don't have an alien number(never will need one) and my husband still doesn't have one because we just started the process . Thank you though!

If you want to leave it blank, go ahead and get an RFE.

What I told you to do and what the instructions say when something does not apply is different from leaving it blank.

A blank to adjudicator means missing information, he/she can not guess why a field is blank.
