I have herpes. Can immigration find out that? Will they ask that at the interview?

Hi I'm bout to send my documents. In the medical form, in the std section I don't know if mark yes or no. My husband doesn't know I have herpes. I was diagnosed here in USA and I'm being treated with a pill everyday to control outbreaks and transmission. If I put no on std. Will immigration find out ? Can and would they check my medical records or my prescriptions and find out that I have herpes ? And if I say yes on the for for std, will they ask about that in the interview? I feel very ashamed about this. Does someone have a similar case?

I don't know if they would know but u need to disclose this to your partners. They need to know this before they engage in relations with you.

And by severe Ryan H means they can ban you for misrepresentation if you lie on the form.

I really don't understand people who do this, my inlaws had this very same issue. He was taking his drugs to suppress it and still gave her it and then had to come clean about having it. Suffice it to say the lying and risking her getting it was what did more damage to their relationship than him having cheated.

Please be honest on the form and with your husband, for the sake of your relationship and you do not want to risk not being able to be in the US because you are embarrassed about being asked a few questions by a stranger you probably won't see again.

Be honest on your visa application. You don't want to commit fraud to enter the US, there are bad consequences.

Be honest with your sexual partners. There are bad consequences to passing STDs on to your spouse.

Yes, you must go through a medical examination and then will ask about hospitalisation and any long-term conditions and medications you have taken/are taking.

Taking meds will NOT prevent transmission to your partner and I find it appalling that you did not tell him when you entered into the relationship.
What do you think will happen if he very likely gets it from you ? What a mess. It will erode his trust in you and I would be highly pissed if someone

It is HIS decision to be in a relationship with someone who has herpes or not and not yours alone, you took that choice away from him.
