Marriage outside USA while on K1 visa

My fiance had an interview today, and was sent to AP . I am 9 months pregnant, so knowing that the AP could take anywhere from week to God knows when, We have decided that if the AP process takes a while , I would travel to Turkey after I have a baby. My question is, what would happen if his visa is issued , but the place of marriage takes place in Turkey and not in US?

Every answer greatly appreciated !!

If the embassy finds out that you got married even if you have the visa in hand, you could risk CBS denial of entry.

The requirement of a K1 visa is to be married within the USA. You risk rendering the K1 visa invalid and having to start all over with a CR1. Do you have to get married in Turkey? Can't you just go and visit there and come back?

If you marry in Turkey you have to start over with a CR1. It'll take about a year or so. Your fiancé can't be married and enter on K1

I am just seeking for all the options, I am desperate ,. We dont know if he is going to be approved or not yet :( He had an interview today and got his passport returned with 221G code , and was sent to AP . I was just wondering, since I will go back to be with him right after the baby is born (unless he makes it here within 3 weeks, we would just wait for the results in Turkey, If hes denied , would deff get married and try the spousal visa. Thanks everyone for their feedback!!!

They gave him his passport back? That's not a good sign.

Well, Its a little bit of the complicated situation since he is on special training in Military (Bosnian). Specializing for an officer in Turkey (already had a diploma as a second lieutenant) . Thats probably why. On the form 221 G, only check mark was for administrative processing. ...

If you marry outside the US, the visa is void. A married man can not use a K-1 to enter the US. This is immigration fraud. You would have to start over and file for a spousal visa if you want to marry outside the US.

Yeah that could be the issue. I served in the military for 5 years and when I had my interview I had to send in proof that I was no longer in the military and that I had done everything that was required of me.

The visa he is applying for is as a fiance. If you get married then he will no longer be a fiance and you will have to start a different process for a spousal visa instead.
