Do anybody know if there is anything wrong with cairo embassy as i have seen many complete case for more than 4 monthes with no interview scheduled yet ? And if nothing is wrong when I should expect the interview if my casw was complete in the 1st week of august ? Last question why some cases are complete after my day and they received their interview meanwhile im waiting ?

To answer your questions, there is something wrong with the Cairo embassy. It is ridiculously slow with no transparency. :( but this is "normal" for Egypt because the embassy is short-staffed and has many cases from Egypt, Syria, and Yemen to deal with. Cases that were completed in early July still haven't had interviews scheduled for CR1/IR1 visas, so you are still within the normal time-frame. Our case was completed on July 20 and we are still waiting. As for the cases after yours, it's possible that they were granted expedites and that's why they jumped ahead of all of the rest of us who are waiting. Do you have any more information about those cases?

its absolutely ridiculous...... how can they deal with 3 countries petitions when they are have staff shortages.

My time line is almost the same of yours exp my petition was approved late Jan..... it is just unbearable as we had the CECA system down too for almost 2 months .... too much for me..... they need to do better.

For the cases went before me, i do not have any information. just found them in that excel sheet where people document their dates. when the case is complete and when the interview is scheduled

I hope they fix it sooner
