Traveling to US from Nigeria with advance parole document

Hi guys, as the topic states, has anyone travelled to the US from Nigeria with the advance parole document recently? I saw an old post from three years ago where the poster wasn't allowed to board because the airport officials had no idea what AP was. I want to believe that there's been quite a number of people traveling with the document within the last few years. So they are now familiar with it.

Please if you have travelled recently using the AP, share your experience with me. Thanks

That old post was probably mine. I think my husband is one of the few unlucky people who have had trouble traveling with the AP card. The combo cards had only been in use about a year or two when we traveled to Cancun and we flew on Frontier airlines who mostly fly domestic but have some international flights to Mexico. At check in for the return flight, Frontier airlines in Mexico refused to issue my husband a boarding pass because they said he needed a valid green card or "travel papers". We even used our smart phone to pull up the uscis website to show them where USCIS stated that the combo card replaced the travel document as of Feb 2011.

The combo cards have been around long enough now and especially if you are flying on a major airline you shouldn't have any problems.
