Does anyone know if they accept bank statements if your income on income tax don't meet guideline requirements? For K-1 visa. and do the amt have to be exactly what the guide line reads or can it be a liitle less? Or do they allow you to combine other assets.?

To use assets if you don't make enough you have to have enough assets to make up the income different TIMES 3.

So, if you only make 10,000$ a year, have no dependents and are only bringing a fiance in. You would need to show that you have 29736 in assets. You need to make 19,912, in this case you make 10000 a year, so that's 9912 and then multiply that times 3, which is 29736.

(What you need to make) - (What you make) = (The difference) x 3 = what you need in assets.

They will accept the bank statement that mentions account opening date, previous year balance and present balance. Just sending the latest monthly statement showing huge load of balance might not work. If you are using assets cash value, it should be minimum of 5 times the poverty guideline. Can the amount be less than required? NO. In fact it is not even recommended to just meet the requirement or meet it by just a little bit more. It is always better to show more than required.

If it is money in your bank account they will want to see that you've held that amount for at least a year. Submit evidence of monthly bank statements showing the money wanting to be used as an asset.

My requirement is 25,112 and my taxes only show 21,012 so I have to show assets equal to $4,100 times 3? That's easy. My truck alone covers that. Don't even need bank statement.

Your daily driver cannot be used as an asset for the affidavit of support. A second vehicle may be used. See the form instructions for more information.

You would need evidence of your ownership of the vehicle, a current value of the vehicle, etc.
