So my husband called me saying he had a call from a Ghanaian man telling me that his interview has been reschedule d to feb. His interview is on the 3rd Dec. Who does that like seriously? An embassy?I told him to disregard that since there hasn't been any email confirming that. Anyone else with this issue?

- Moved from IR-1/CR-1 Progress to US Embassy And Consulate Discussion as topic is specific to the embassy stage and relevant to multiple processes -

Eighteen years in the US and I still don't understand Velveeta, TV ads for prescription drugs, only getting 2 weeks paid vacation, or why anyone believes anything they see on Fox "News".

Have your husband write email to the the embassy on the subject. They will reply immediately. Not longer than 48 hours. He should walk in to the conslate with the respond from the embassy.. what i know is reschedule of interview appointment date is only accepted by walk in ..

Re-scheduling like that can happen, nothing to do with corruption- maybe they overscheduled, or they have someone out sick.

However, it could also be someone unrelated to the embassy is trying to play a trick on him, so definitely confirm, or try to go anyways.

He should go unless you get a letter stating otherwise, if the appt has changed they will tell him at the embassy, which is your best way of confirmation, this Emabssy takes there time or rarely response to emails in a timely matter, and there is no way to call the visa unit

OP titled her subject wrongly or pretty much assumed corruption. It could well be true that the interview was postponed on the mere basis that the caller knew that he is applying for a visa and his appointment was scheduled for the 3rd December. But he should re-check the validity of that re-scheduled appointment.

I had my interview rescheduled. The embassy staff called me to ask my availability and later sent me an email to confirm. They requested me to bring the email print out when coming to the Consular section, IV unit. So, they should send you an email for rescheduling or you may ask for confirmation email.
