IR1 travel restrictions

Hey folks... just a quick question for anyone who understands IR1 and green cards. Are there travel restrictions with an IR1 green card? If so, what are they? Any help would be appreciated.

None. You may still need a visa for a country that you would normally need a visa for with the exception of Canada and Mexico.

As mentioned other than for Canada and Mexico, your travel restrictions are still based on your nationality (Nigeria in your case), so you will still need a visa for most places. There are also dangers of loosing your greencard if you stay abroad too long; as a guideline, you should be inside the USA longer than outside in any rolling year.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
