Hi Guys,

I have my green card interview on Nov 3rd, I did not hear anything back from uscis yet. It was in Chicago. The interview was really smooth, and officer said gave verbal approval. I called uscis today for status update and they said that they are still working on Feb 20 Cases at Chicago location. Does that mean my green card would be delayed drastically? Since i submitted in June. Has anyone else encountered same issue? Any help would be really appreciated! Thank you!

Hi,

I don't know, I was told that too after my interview on the 17th of nov. but on the 19 it was updated to approved. I know someone who has had their interview on October 22 and there status haven't been updated from "interview scheduled". Oh yea we are both from Chicago and had our interviews downtown. I just think when u call and speak to a customer service rep they r just gonna read you what they were trained to do. I believe if you can get to a tier two person or make and info pass, then you'll get somewhere. Good luck.

I had the interview on October, 22nd 2014 (married since December 2010).
Same situation, the interview was really smooth! Verbal approval on the spot for permanent residency (not conditional residency since we've been married more than 2 years)
.As of today still no GC. The online status still saying the interview scheduled for October 22nd, 2014.

Same here and also Chicago. Our interview was on November 16th. IO stated that we were approved and here it is two weeks later and status hasn't changed. Our lawyer warned us that this has been going on recently and stated that she will contact them for us after two weeks. I will update everyone as she should be contacting them in the next two days.. Seems like a chronic Chicago problem.

  • 4 weeks later...

People I've been waiting for 8 months now since my interview and still no word from USCIS. Trust me it can always be worse. I did my interview in Chicago too, I guess it's the curse of the Chicago field office
