DS160 and No Photo

I think we are at the end of the road.

Everything was submitted to the Frankfurt Embassy. We were not able to attach a photo to the DS160. We both tried and we couldn't get the photo to be good enough quality. We chose the submit without photo option. My fiance sent an extra passport photo with the barcode confirmation page with all of our evidence. Embassy sent us an email this morning that all of our info has been received, but "DS-160. Form DS160 need the following correction: passport photo missing After you attached the photo, please resubmit the form and send us a notification via email."

So do we email back and explain? Or are we going to have to redo the entire DS160 all over again? Is there a way of just adding the photo to the one we have already done?

The DS-160 requires a passport style photo. That means not only to be done in a professional photo studio, but also to have spesific width, height & weigth(Megabytes). When such a photo is taken by a professional photographer working in a photo studio, it automatically covers these requirements.

Was the photo on your computer uploaded by the photo studio that took your photo?

If the asnwer is yes, change the photo studio, apperantly they suck at their job.

If the answer is no, bring your passport photo and ask them to scan it and upload it to a flash drive.

Good luck.

Do exactly what the letter says. Exactly. If they tell you to resubmit the form, then do so.

However, if the quality of the photo was bad, don't worry. You will be bringing a photo to the interview anyways, and the photo you bring will be used for the issue of the visa.
