AOS - Affidavit of Support and Tax Returns

Hi All,

I'm doing the affidavit of support for the AOS after the K1 visa, and they are asking if I've filed tax returns in the past 3 years. I was working outside of the US make very little money for 2 years, but I returned to the US and have tax returns for last year. How do I handle this in the paper work??

If you earned less than the filing amount (US taxes on worldwide income) then you submit a signed statement explaining that you earned less than the required amount.

Filing a return and paying tax are 2 different things.
