Hello everybody,

Last year i went to USA via K1 visa. Got married and received my green card last June. Today my parents didnt get a tourist visa. The reason they got was that I am in my home country and that there is no reason for them to come and visit me at this moment. How soon can we reapply? They have a stable jobs and enough money to support themselves. They just want to come and meet my family in law. They dont have any intentions to stay in USA permanently.

Thank you

You can apply again straight away, but chances of being successful in the second visa are very slim if nothing has changed in their circumstances.

When are you, the greencard holder, moving back to the USA?

No limit to how often they can apply.

I will go home(USA) in 12 days. I will probably start working in the middle of December. I was thinking that they can apply again in March. The only thing which will happen by then is that I will be in America not in Bulgaria. As i said my parents have a stable job, have enough money to show that they can support themselves. At the interview the person at the embassy didnt want any of their papers. she Just asked them what they work how much their salary is, why they want to go, and they asked where i am at the moment and they were told ... there is no reason for them to go cause i am at my own contry and I didnt settle down in USA. ( i dont know what exactly this means)

The other thing that can help is, have they travelled abroad before? If they can get a Schengen Visa and spend a long weekend in Europe and return home, it will help their chances of getting a US tourist visa.
