Okay,

My wife is here finally, and we are getting everything ready for filing for AOS.

She is from Spain. We have been in contact with another couple (beneficiary also from Spain) and our experiences are the same.

My wife, at her medical, was told that they didn't have anything to do with vaccines and that it depended on the state she would travel to and to see a doctor here. I am under the impression that we will have to see a civil surgeon and get a I-693 filled out?? I'm under the impression that the physician didn't put a DS-3025 in the "do not open" packet". What is the best course of action here? I am severely disappointed. My wife has all her vaccines needed, but we have nothing to show that. All we have is a vaccine record from her family doctor in Spain showing the vaccines she has (up to date) but it is in Spanish, and I doubt it would do any good. This is very upsetting...

Also, how would we even show a CS records of vaccinations if she didn't get a copy of her DS-3025? Maybe I'm mistaken and they actually did include it in the "do not open" envelope? We are sure she has all her vaccines, but reading on here, we need to have proof showing she does either in the form of the DS-3025 or the I-693.

My wife, at her medical, was told that they weren't in charge of doing vaccines and that it depended on the state she would travel and to see a doctor here. I am under the impression that we will have to see a civil surgeon and get a I-693 filled out?? I'm not sure if the US Embassy included a DS-3025 in the "do not open" packet". What is the best course of action here? I am severely disappointed. My wife has all her vaccines needed, but we have nothing to show that. All we have is a vaccine record from her family doctor in Spain showing the vaccines she has (up to date) but it is in Spanish (well, Catalan) and I doubt it would do any good.

What are the chances that a DS-3025 was included in the brown enveloped turned in at POE, given the fact that at her medical the doctor he had nothing to do with the vaccines?

Did she need to show the vaccinations at her K-1 medical? If not, then probably did not fill out a DS-3025 at all. Some consulates don't and make it more difficult for AOS later.

You will need to call around and find a civil surgeon to do the vaccinations only. That might be a pain too. You can try this thread when looking for one > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/231026-civil-surgeons-who-dont-rip-you-off/page-15

Ask the CS if they need her vaccinations translated to English, or if she can simply bring them in Spanish as is.

So what form does the CS need to fill out? The I-693 or the DS-3025? And which should we send with the AOS petition?

A civil surgeon fills out an I-693(USCIS form). The DS forms(Dept.of State forms) are only done by panel physicians abroad. See page 6 and 7 of the I-693 instructions that specifically list the requirements for a K-1 adjustment applicant > http://www.uscis.gov/i-693

I found a nearby CS. If he fills out the I-693, do we even need to send the DS-3025...because we have no way of getting one if it was not filled out.

Also, I read that we basically would just need the I-693 filled out and put into a sealed envelope. Would he just give her the vaccines she needs (if any) or do a full medical?

You will have an I-693, and no need for the DS-3025 then. The I-693 will supersede any DS-3025 she may have had.

You should only need the vaccinations. You will need to let the CS know that you are a K-1 adjustment case and do not need the full medical. Some will insist on it, and you may need to call around.

You can also read the pinned thread at the top of this forum about the vaccination requirements for a K-1.

Is this because the rest of the medical was put into the "do not open" envelope? Also, what happens if she doesn't need any vaccinations?

Yes, her medical is still valid for AOS, and it was included in the sealed envelope you hand over at the POE.

The CS will transcribe the vaccinations to the I-693. She will need at least a flu shot currently, since it is that season.

Hello, We sent in the AOS forms and fees in March 2015 and received EAD card later received RFE for new medical and some proof of relationship. My wife redid the medical and got the sealed envelope from the CS and we mailed the info back to USCIS office. She received her green card about 6 weeks later. Some posts say you don't need a new medical -- fight the government if you wish!!!!

Why would you have gotten an RFE for proof of relationship? Had you already done your interview? I was under the impression that NO evidence for the was required to go along with the AOS packet.

Also, I just confirmed with the US Embassy in Spain that they do NOT include DS-3025 forms. It would have been nice...now we get to do this vaccine stuff.

Are you sure we only need the vaccines and not a full medical?

I don't know where you live exactly, but if it's Texas, it's not so hard to find Spanish speaking CS, so I think you shouldn't have problems of vaccination records in Spanish.
