Hello guys I need your help and experience.

In June 2015 I got a letter of Potential Interview Waiver and today got a letter saying that I must appear in my local office for an interview. It's just in one week!!!

Please share your experience. Did it happen to someone before here?

What TBoneTX mean in a very confusing way was that the person applying for Green Card has to be the one who calls, meaning you, if you were the one coming over on the K1 and applying for AOS not the U

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

In welcome letter they said that permanent residence has been registred and I was approved however the nextvday I got reopening notice.

So I was hoping it was sime type of glitch in their system and I should receive my gc soon but it didn't happen and today I got letter saying that in one week I must appear in the local office for an interview.

Is there anything I can find out by the phone?

I mean they sent me interview letter appointment which is in one week

To.me it looks like all I can do is just wait for the interview

And prepare all documents for it

And of course pray and hope that everything will be fine

I'd still try to call USCIS. You'll have to get past the no-nothing front-line screeners and reach an actual immigration officer.

In order for you to learn anything, the beneficiary must make the call or be present on the phone line. USCIS won't talk to the petitioner alone, at this stage.

I doubt you will be able to get any answers before your interview. Take all of your documents with you and cross your fingers that you can overcome whatever the problem is.

What can he find out? Like why it was reopened and what to expect on interview?

What TBoneTX mean in a very confusing way was that the person applying for Green Card has to be the one who calls, meaning you, if you were the one coming over on the K1 and applying for AOS not the USC. You can give your spouse permission to talk to USCIS if you are more comfortable with that but you still have to talk to the USCIS people stating your case number, full name, date of birth and address (at least that's what they asked me for) and then you just say that you give your spouse permission to discuss the case.

Nothing in particular has to be wrong with your case because you have an interview after receiving a interview waiver letter, it happens.

Consulate Received : July 30,2014 Transfer to right embassy complete.

Interview Date : Oct 22, 2014

Interview Result : AP , requesting another PC (not expired) and certified divorce decree (was submitted)Stokes interview via phone for petitioner 4 hrs after interview.

Oct 23 email notification visa approved.
Visa Received : Nov. 3 , 2014 VISA IN HAND.

AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.
