This whole NVC case completion waiting is ridiculous. How come they prioritize fiance visa while they make married couples away from each other for a long time? Don't they have life partners too? They don't know how it feels, and the burden of waiting.

Is your timeline up to date? If you submitted and paid everything back in August, surely you have a case complete (or at least an RFE) from the NVC. Have you been calling for updates? What have they told you?

Mar 2014 - Married

5/15/14 DHS cashed check

3/9/15 - Called NVC and they have checklisted us for an "incorrect" decree absolute from the UK, even though it is the legal official document. Have requested a supervisor review.

4/28/15 - Called and NVC said supervisor had reviewed and now claimed that the decree absolute was not included. After disagreeing with the less than helpful lady on the phone, and her not being able to get the review time right. (She kept changing her story between 42 days and 30 days).

4/30/15 - Sent the same copy of the decree absolute to the NVC from the UK, highlighting the "decree absolute" wording with a letter stating that this is the only document provided by the UK government.

I keep trying to call and I never got lucky. But,our culture is a jealous culture and I honestly can't stand living away from my husband anymore. :(

Dear ...

Your I130 approved in 40 days mine still not approved since December 2014, many peoples are like me who are waiting for their NO2 and you are crying over your NVC process sounds funny to me.

It sounds ridiculous maybe but it's more ridiculous why we have to go through this. My husband and I lived together for like 9 months in my country. He's been away for like 1 yr 6mos.now. This month will be our 2nd year anniversary. :(

That sounds a big pain in the ###. Good luck to us. I can't help myself not to make rants as I'm having depression since he left.

The only way to get an answer is to keep trying until you get through. Most people have more luck getting through as soon as they are open in the morning. Is your husband also trying to call. We were both taking turns calling to get through for updates. It's the government, so already a pain to deal with, but they don't just offer up information, you have to fight to get what you need.

If you have your case number, have you checked on CEAC to see if it still says "At NVC" or has 3 N/As?

This whole process needs to be changed its seems like 19th century.... since these days technology are very advance then why USCIS and NVC takes forever to do their work..... my wife made an info pass at local office where my case is on HOLD they asked her your husband is living illegal in US haahahaha i never been in US legal or illegal does not matter also once case is on process we can't get B1/B2 but K1 peoples at least can live with their spouses ....... really i wish someone in US govt should introduce the new whole process.

It's awful, but you have to be strong. My husband was denied, and I haven't seen him for a year. We are meeting in a neutral country for 3 weeks, waiting for our case to get back to USCIS. Try to meet your partner somewhere so too much time doesn't go by without seeing each other. Good luck.

If is awful, but the wait is for our own benefit in the end. It's better off to wait a bit more and to be totally sure that we are safer from possible terrorists or fraud trying to enter the country. I know it's not much consolation but it is what it is I'm afraid.

my k1 visa process was exactly 6 month since the day we applied until I put a foot in US soil, yeah it was really fast but I didnt get my GC until a year later (I got my gc exactly on the 1st anniversary of my arrival). so it was basically a little over a year and half. You applied on february this year and you got approved very very quick compare to people waiting on a noa2 for 8-10 months. I f you case arrived at the nvc on august you should make some calls to see what's going on.

K1 Visas are faster because we are only applying for a visa not a greencard, is not because fiances are more important than spouses.

I don't know why they prioritize K-1 visa's over CR1 visa's either it doesn't make sense to me to. I haven't seen my husband in 7 months I know it's not as long as some on here but that doesn't make it any easier. Hang in there someday this will all be over and all of us will have our spouses with us..
