Hey Everyone,

My fiancé and I had our interview in santo Domingo on October 8th. How long does it take to get a passport back with his visa in it? We are getting anxious and I am ready for him to arrive!!

Had our interview same day as you. Still nothing. The ceac website just says ready for interview. What does yours say? I'm not sure if you know this, but the embassy was closed on the 9th and 12th. So it might be taking a little more time than usual. Keep me posted.

Mine says "ready" as well. Most of my friends who have been through this process got the passport back within 5-6 days. Hopefully, we will both hear back sometime this week - by Wednesday (at the latest) would be nice. I am just ready to get my life started with my man!!!!

Patience is the key , my interview was on August 24th and we were approved after a long grueling day. We recieved his passport stated issued on August 15th and we recieved it on August 17th . Some people are lucky and recieve it within 7 to 10 days however it is another short waiting game. Best of luck.

It used to say "passport is still with the USA embassy" on my travel docs site but now it does not say anything. It is just blank. Should I be worried???

Mine is blank now too.. I wouldn't read too much into it.. It would be nice if we woke up tomorrow to something good.. Anxiety sucks lol.. But I've read that happens on that site sometimes for no reason. So tomorrow is a new day..

My interview was 9/18 and we got approved. Still waiting here on a status update. My case was last "touched" 9/25.

Sorry if you answered this somewhere else but... Did you ever call or send an email? Were there any red flags with your case?

No true concerns what so ever. We submitted all paperwork required and consulate confirmed we were good to go. Now I have called and email and have gotten bogus response both times. They say no status update is available through mbe site and ustraveldocs site.

At this point I check every day and wait to see what happens.
