Accra, Ghana

We did everything right, we had ample evidence and supporting documents. He was asked a question about my siblings and couldn't answer it so they denied him.

What are our next steps? Do we have to wait another year? What should I do? How do I get him another interview and quickly???

Please, my heart is broken and its hard to breathe.

Really sorry for what happened. What I know from the other Gh denies is that they contacted their congress people and a couple were able to keep their case at the embassy. That should be the next step now. Find out more about the reasons and email your congress person with all the evidence submitted. They might grant a second interview from you get really really lucky, or in the least hold the petition in gh and not send it over to the US for another gruesome round.

Was it the KM woman? Try and calm down, then provide more details as to what happened. I expect that the experts here would be more than willing to look into it and spot things you may have missed.

Friend, my heartfelt prayers to you and your husband...this has happened and its in the past now, you have to look at the options available to you in the future. I have a few questions

1 did your husband show signs of nervousness during the interview

2 have you or him been married before? if yes did you conceal it to the embassy?

has he overstayed a visa before

has he got a criminal issue?

these are questions you should ask yourself. most importantly, you have a chance at a rebuttal for the spousal visa. so pls take that chance and get it done..lastly, go to God in prayer. if u have to fast and pray pls do so...the scripture makes us know that God reigns in the affairs of men....once again sorry and I wish you the best next time

I think you need to ask your husband more questions when he is calm, there could be something more than not knowing much about his siblings in law. Who interviewed him? What was their reason for denial on the white paper? All hope is not lost so provide them with what they are requesting for again if it's available. All the best

Try your hardest today and in the next few days to get the case not sent back to USCIS

I was in morocco and they told me it went back immediately / big lie as My cousin worndow king in another embassy told me they are not returned the same day of interview/ i was at the window immieditately after he came out

Now, what happens if they deny and it is returned:

you have to wait for letter stating why it is denied in which you will receive instructions on how to appeal (30 days from this notice) and what the fee is

you are given the choice to appeal or to refile

i appealed and paid the fee and won stating my marriage was bona fide but told to refile

What you do is your decision but appeal takes time and just delays the visa

and if they say reapply as they did to me it is another application fee

Stay calm, and ask your husband to remember everything about the interview. There is more to it than not remembering something about a sister in law. Did the interviewer dwell on something. Provide more details of your case, ages, how many visits, how long you've known each other, etc.. I'm sure someone here can help you.

There is always more to it than that. Anybody know the back story?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I am so sorry this has happened to you and your husband. My own husband was denied a month ago and we were devastated. We also used a lawyer and had so much evidence.

As the other posters are saying, once your husband calms down, have him go over everything that was said in the interview, especially anything the interviewer dwelled on. On top of that, think like the interviewer would think (suspicious by nature).

I contacted my congresswoman, and she got word back from the embassy that his case has been sent back to USCIS. If this happens to you, which is likely, you and your husband will have to wait six months to get word from USCIS, as to why exactly your husband was denied, with an NOIR (notice of intent to revoke). Then you will have 30 days to appeal .

Again, I am so sorry this has happened, and I feel your pain. Many posters gave me a lot of insight as to why my husband was denied, and it helped a lot. We've gotten over it now and have new goals, but will just wait for the six months to take more action. I think time will help with the shock.

One more thing I forgot to put into my earlier reply. You can get the transcripts of the interview by filing for the Freedom of Information Act. It may take months, but I did it. Search on google how to do it. That way you can see in black and white what was said.

.

submitted with the i-130 or civil docs for the ds-260?

if no, was a waste of time, no Vice Consul makes time during the interview to review evidence.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I know front loading is important but say what? So if you did not front load your petition, you might as well call and cancel your interview?? ? Waste of time? OK.. Try again.
