How is it now that soooooo many August and September filers are just breezing through TSC (not just those from the Philippines) while those of us from earlier in the year (I'm a March filer) are just SITTING THERE?? SUCH BS. How do we bring these things to light with the powers that be? When I call, the humans at USCIS just read from the script in front of them...

Feel the same. Actually, the Philippines has no rate of faster approvals than any other country.

i feel so sorry for you guys, it seems to be a major F-up from their side. I hope they give you guys some kind of decision, even letting you guys redo the process would be better than just sitting there.

Not to sound stupid or anything, I just signed up for this VJ thing to get a feel of the immagration process for a K1 (we have a lawyer) but where do I go to start my own discussion? Sorry if I sound super ignorant lol

That is absolutely ridiculous I'm going into seven month now the only other thing we can do is sue the USCIS to force them to make a decision on the case and this my options after the mid November if nothing happen and I will do it (It is not really a lawsuit per se. A WOM is a court decision demanding that the USCIS make a decision in your case.

Are you absolutely sure they're TSC filers? I haven't been keeping up with it as much so maybe I missed it but last I heard, pretty much all new filers were being routed directly to CSC.

Now, new people here on Visajourney don't seem to "get" the difference between sending a petition to the Lockbox in Texas, and being routed to the Texas Service Center. So when they fill in their timelines, they fill in as Texas even though they're in California. I can't totally say I blame them, but it's frustrating for sure. Have you asked them? They can tell because TSC receipt numbers begin with SRC and CSC begin with WAC.

Right. We know that the people on this thread are stuck at TSC (although the issue is the K1 applicants, which is really different from the CR1). The question is whether or not the Aug and Sept filers that the OP is talking about are really at TSC or if they just THINK they're at TSC?

No people have been sended to TSC anymore. U are confused with CSC filers, but some people as Catherine said allready confuse it with that they are rerouted. March is still the last TSC bit, and no more filers there since then. Only CSC.

I'm also a march filer...one thing just came to mind.Since a lot of those filers from september got transferred, would it make sense to send the same forms again and hope to be transferred as well? Would that mean we would have to cancel the previous case? That would obviously be very risky since we thenmight stay in tsc and it'd take ANOTHER 7-8 months. hmm... This is so frustrating

No one got transferred. Transferred means that you got sent to one service center and then transferred to another. They closed the door to TSC for K1s after March 27. So no one after then (save a very few cases) got sent there in the first place. Almost all I-129fs were and still are being sent directly to CSC from the Lockbox.

A lot of us considered doing what you're suggesting. I was thinking about it as early as April, as soon as the news about all new petitions going to CSC broke. It was only 6 or 7 weeks after I filed, though. The biggest thing is that people thought it could look bad. Like, having two active petitions at one time could be a red flag, how do you answer "have you filed for any other spouse or fiance before" all of that stuff. Looking back, though, I still kind of wish I had done it then. I would not do it now if I were you, though because your NOA2 is probably just a week or two away. You'd be looking at 2 to 4 weeks at CSC, another $340 fee and god knows how much hassle because of the potential "red flag".

Just to note, if they do ever open TSC back up to K1s again, there will never be a backlog like this. The March filers are the last people "in line" at TSC, so any hypothetical October filer will be handled right after the March folks are finished. I think it is plainly clear that they do not intend to open TSC to K1s in the near future. It seems as if they probably have a bare minimum of staff devoted to them, even less than they had before. I think it has been phased out.
