AOS Approved, without an interview?!

I have done a search before posting this, but the threads I checked out were all from 2012.

My husband and I applied for the AOS, AP, and EAD late April, early May of this year. As of today, I got two e-notices regarding our AOS that indicates it was approved.

On October 2, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number MSC15910*****. Please follow the instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by December 1, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

and this one:

On October 2, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC15910*****, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application. If you do not receive your document, please contact our National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

Is this a glitch or have I really been approved without an interview?!

Is this normal?

Wow! That was fast, it seems to me that your greencard is on the way. I did not have an interview either, but my process took from May 1rst 2014 to be approved 2 days ago. (17 months) I just got exactly the same message as you. Congratulations!

Thanks! I thought this rarely happened. Weird.

Congrats to you too! I got this one this morning:

On October 7, 2015, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number MSC15910*****, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by November 6, 2015, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
