45 Days for Notice?

I learned about requesting expedited processing over the phone, so I called and did that. My question is not about expedited processing however.

About an hour after I got my request, I got an email that said:

We have received your request to expedite the decision on your petition. Your case has already been reviewed by an adjudicating officer and a decision or notice of further action on your petition will be delivered to you within 45 days.

We hope this information is helpful to you.

So it seems someone has already made a decision but it will take 45 days to be notified? I was thinking when they make a decision they would notify right away?

Is there something I am missing, or misunderstanding?
