I do, I've never ever had it before but now I severely feel it . we just got our I29F approved and I was experiencing it before approval just a little but now I'm having even stronger anxiety. I'm guessing it's the unknown factor of the interview and its documentation, police clearance and doctor clearance. Am I worrying for nothing? Please ease my mind if you can.

This is a normal reaction. It is the feeling of the unknown , the waiting and then finally you have an answer to the lingering question. Now it's what is next? You have nothing to worry about!!! Let go and let God , He will cause for the right things to happen for you. My husband and I felt this same exact way last year this time but now we are waiting on our interview date and as it draws closer we are more excited and anticipating our future together.

I know I certainly felt that way. Funny enough, I think i might have been more anxious about the process than my husband was who was the beneficiary. The not knowing what will come next, not knowing what the CO will ask. As jabumere said, it's the unknown that is scary and makes us anxious. Another thing is the waiting that made me anxious. I'm still anxious and we already had the interview lol. I'm anxiously waiting for my husband to come here now

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I can't say for sure that it is a normal reaction, but it was my reaction as well. Looking back, I can understand why. My fiancé at the time, and I were apart. And of course knowing that soon we could be together everyday caused a lot of our anxiety. We were also terribly worried that something could go wrong, and then what? But we took a step back and thought about it... Our paper work was meticulous, we put a lot of time and attention on it; our evidence was ready; we had nothing to fear with the police report; we had nothing to fear with the doctor's screening; and we had nothing to hide at the interview. These were the thoughts that kept us focused and pushing forward.

Now, my wife is and step daughter are US Citizens and we are more in love than we were years ago. Yes, it is challenging, but it is all worth it in the end.

Good luck to the both of you. Double check and triple check your paper work and try to anticipate the questions would could be asked and the evidence you would be asked to present. Go to the interview ready. Bring everything and make sure it is organized for easy use. If you end up not needing it, at least you were ready. And if you end up needing it, you would be saving yourselves a lot of headache.

Good luck!

I've been all the way through K1, and most of the way through CR1....just waiting for an interview.

Stress and anxiety? YES!

It's totally normal and unavoidable. One thing that has helped though is exercise. If you like walking outdoors, take long daily walks. When the wheels of my mind start turning too much and I feel too stressed out or depressed, I go for a long, brisk walk as soon as possible the same day. I always feel much better when I return home.

I'd say yes. Ever step along way produces some anxiety but, if you have all your documents and a real relationship, you'll get through it. We file for my wife's citizenship this week so our journey on this process is coming to an end. Best of luck to you!
