Ugh.

I was a bit lazy when I sent in the I-751. I thought that they didn't want a bunch of papers of the whole tax returns so I only sent in the front page and yeah, kept it simple with photos from our wedding and travels. I mistakenly had the attitude of "we have nothing to hide, if they don't believe us, sure, come by and check us out".

Now, of course, this means more work for me now instead. -_____-

So, should I send in a sex tape?

We've filed taxes together since 2013 I believe. Do we print out that whole thing and send? I think it's like... 20 pages. Such a waste of paper!

I'm also pretty sure I'm listed as his spouse on his retirement plan - does that work to send in?

I think I'm also his "emergency" person on his health care plan but we decided to not put me under his job's health care plan cause it was expensive and my home country (of which I go back to fairly often) provide health care for me so I only have an emergency plan. But I guess that might work?

We have a savings account together opened in 2013 and I thought we had sent in the right stuff but apparently not - is there like any papers that's just one side that could work as evidence that we've had this account for a while and there's money in it?

Also, he's on the lease of our rental building but I should be listed as occupant. Does that work?

Apart from that, I'm not sure what other 'legal' we can send. We're young modern new yorkers - aka we don't own a house, a car and definitely no children. They didn't want any more photos or travel plans...

03/15/2013 - Got married in NYC City Hall!Received marriage license on the same day.

03/30/2013 (Day 0) - Sent in I-130, I-485, I-765 and I-131

04/03/2013 (Day 4) - Package received in Chicago

04/10/2013 (Day 11) - NOA 1 text(s) and emails received.

04/15/2013 (Day 16) - Biometrics appointment letter for the 7th of May 2013.

04/22/2013 (Day 23) - Successful Biometrics walkin Varick Street, NY

04/30/2013 (Day 31) - I-485 case status updated to testing and interviewing. Still no updates on EAD or AP

05/07/2013 (Day 38) - Biometrics appointment

06/07/2013 (Day 69) - EAD updated to Card production. AP updated to Post Decision Activity.

06/15/2013 (Day 77) Recieved EAD/AP combo card

07/10/2013 (Day 102) Received first interview appointment
08/10/2013 (Day 132) Interview (which we rescheduled because I was out of the country at the time of the interview)

08/24/2013 (Day 146) Notification that our interview has been successfully rescheduled

11/25/2013 (Day 239) New Interview date: 16th of December 2013

12/16/2013 (Day 260) INTERVIEW! - Approved on the spot, will have green card within a few months

At the top corner of this website click on "Advanced Search" and type in "I751 evidence". You can read through the many posts similar to yours and come up with lots of evidence others have submitted. Good luck!

Wills. Medical Power of Attorney. Any couple should have these - no matter where you live or how young you are or how little you own. ALL pages of 2013 and 2014 taxes (transcripts are better, and shorter). ALL pages of bank statements, at least one per quarter since you opened the account (OK) or since you got married (best) even though it is ridiculous. Copies of both your driver's licences, or state IDs, if you don't have a license - showing the same address. Personal mail (not catalogs or junk mail) addressed to both of you at the same address. Everything else you list in your post above. They don't believe in saving trees. And being lazy just gets you in trouble.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
