Curriculum Vitae/Resume is it needed at the interview?

Hi all,

I was just wondering if people that have done the interview in Sydney took their resume and was it even looked at?

I'm really confused why this would even be needed, can someone please shed some light on this also if you did take it was it a full resume with all job descriptions or just a brief outline of dates?

It's usually not needed.

I have seen a handful of cases on here where the interview asked for it - most of those cases had some unusual work history and specific science background - like chemical engineering.

Sometimes they may be double checking something on your timeline that doesn't add up.

99% if the time it's never mentioned but if you have it with you and they do want it then it won't delay things as much as you having to go away and send it in.

**Edited to add - I can't remember a case in Sydney where it's happened but I have seen it happen at the UK Embassy a few times.
