Good evening house, I have 3 questions. 1.Im in the phase of gathering the affidavit of support form with other documents, but I saw on here that a new letter of intent to marry should be included. Although, I have sent an exact package of the initial 1-129F package to my fiance, so do I need to edit or update or preferably what do I need to update. Can the new letter of intent still contain the same words which was sent initially as part of the petition, or only the address will change? Thanks, and hoping to hear from y'all soon.

2. Regarding the letter of verification from my dad's work place, though he works with 2 companies, but the HR in the first company said the letter will be sent to Lagos Embassy itself which sounded weird to me because our case hasn't even been given a case number yet, thinking of how it could be tracked, pls has this happened to anyone and how was it rectified? im so worried now, but in the mean time can he request for another letter from his second job? Will presenting just one letter be ok or the 2 has to be gotten from his jobs???

3. Im not working but schooling, and my dad is fully ready for my fiance`s sponsorship upon his arrival. Do I need to fill the affidavit of support showing $0 income too or what documents are needed from my end (Petitioner)? Because both my parents file their taxes together, and I think according to the I-134,I have to get only one sponsor with his employment statement, bank statement. He has a 401K, life insurance.

I included an updated letter of intent because I read where a person in Ghana was denied because the CO said that he/she couldn't see the intent to get married. I figured that the notary was free at the bank so I updated the affadavit and sent it to my fiance.

1. Yes an updated intent letter from both, can be the same words just new date and signature ( not scanned).

2. Your Dad needs to be more assertive with the HR person and insist on getting the employer letter or go over his head to get it done

unless the other job meets the 125% poverty guideline, then an employer letter from only that company would be enough.

As stated before the HR person is very mistaken.

Any employee has the right to ask and receive such a letter no matter for what purpose and do with it what they want and how they want it.

3. 401K and life insurance is not income so I don't know what exactly will work for Lagos currently, what they want to see in joint sponsor

income.
