Hi all, my fiancee is doing the k1 visa for a second time and I am the second beneficiary. Her first relationship did not work out and it's been over 2 years since she broke out with her ex. My question is, she was asked on the i129 form the last time she filed the k1 and she can't remember...what do you suggest we do please. We want to get it all done properly the second time and to avoid suspicion of fraud...thanks

She needs to do her best to place an approximate date (a specific date would be better) I'm sure the UCSIS keeps records of the applications and it will be found out. Better to have that info provided than for them to discover it.

She may even be able to obtain the date if she has the receipt number from the first application.

It's best that she find the info, because every time you apply for any visa it says they keep that info and may even ask you questions about it, this embassy does not play and right now they do not have good track record of approving visa's, and once your petition reaches NVC she should supply a good amount of solid evidence that your relationship is bona fide, I suggest your fiancee set up an account here and read through Ghana k1 visa forums so she can see what kind of embassy she's dealing with, you really need to be ready! Good luck on your visa journey
