Interview and Incorrect A number on N-652

Hello Everyone...

A bit of background to a short question Naturalization "April Filer" here. I had my Naturalization interview at the Santa Ana office on August 14th, 2015. I received my green card through marriage to USC, but after 6 years of marriage we divorced in February, 2015. I applied for Naturalization based on 5 year residency condition.

The entire interview experience wasn't really pleasant as the officer kept asking me if I "got married just to get a green card"; then made a remark that it is unusual for him to see women change their last name to their maiden name "so fast after divorce"; then he said "oh, I guess now you'll be able to stay here" and "did you come to US just to get married and stay?" and etc. Never less, I passed the interview, he handed me the N-652 and said he was recommending me for approval. Before the interview, I was really excited to finally apply for citizenship, but after this interview, I left feeling disappointed, sad and nauseated. After I got home and noticed that the Naturalization Interview Results Form (N-652) had an Alien number on it, and it wasn't mine. So my questions are:

1) I've never heard of an officer be so direct suggesting a fraud. He also swore me in only mid-interview and not at the beginning. Is this normal? I mean, I passed my initial conditional green card interview, as well as had my conditions removed and my marriage was completely legitimate. And to his remark that I'll be able to now stay here.. I CAN already stay here. Citizenship is an added "luxury" (or honor) as I would say.

2) I already called USCIS in regards to the incorrect A number on N-652, so they just gave me a standard "we cant see the update in the system yet, wait 90 days and call us again if you don't receive your Oath letter". Has this happen to anyone else? How important is N-652? All the other papers he asked me to sign, had my correct A number.

I guess it's a bit of a vent in addition to a question:) Sorry if I am posting in a wrong place.

Having the wrong number would concern me. I would try to get a second level officer on the phone, or schedule an info-pass. I'd hate for an application to get stuck in limbo because of a bad number.

I would make an InfoPass appointment and go back in to the office to get it straightened out. A pain I know, but better safe than sorry.

Thank you for replies! I received a e-notification today that I am in line for Oath ceremony and should receive a letter in the mail within 30 days. This makes me feel a bit more at ease! I guess I will just wait for the Oath letter and confirm that the A number on there is correct Fingers crossed that everything will be fine!
