K1 visa processing time - Lima problems [edited title]

I filed a petition for my fiancé on September 26, 2014. On April 29th 2015 we received a notice of approval from the USCIS . May 4, 2015 we received a letter from the NVC, they sent the approval to the consulate in Lima Peru. Its been over 2 month's now and we have not heard from the consulate in Peru. The notice of approval will expire on 8.28.15. We are very worried this will expire and do not know what to do. We called the consulate and they said they do not answer questions over the phone. We do not know what to do because they do not answer our emails either. We also sent an inquiry to my local congressman. Does anybody know if there is something else we can do?

If the answer to your question cannot be found on our website, immigrant visa petitioners and applicants with questions may email us at LimaIV@state.gov with the relevant information:

• For Status Inquiries for Immigrant Visa (including Fiancée) Cases:
  • The subject line must contain "IV Inquiry," the case number (with prefix of LMA), and the applicant's last name.
  • The first paragraph must include the full names of the petitioner and the applicant, the type of visa, and your contact information.

Its been a month since the first email was sent and no answer as of yet. What else can be done?

If they are no help by phone or email, then I honestly have no clue. They have no instructions for K-1 applicants on their consulate website, so they seem to make it difficult for those seeking a K-1. Perhaps they are just really slow.

I hope someone with experience going through Peru will respond soon.
