"Additional Review' Response for an I-751 Service request

I applied for I-751-ROC in August 2014 with VSC. I had not had a response since then no RFE no nothing. I filed a SR last week and i received a response from the local office instead of VSC which means it was transfered. This is what i received.

"Based on your request we researched the status of this case. Our status indicates we are actively processing your application. However, we have to perform an additional review on this case. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs additional information"

Anyone had this kind of response?

Sounds like BS to me.

I can tell you this. My ex filed in October 2013, and as of August 2014 had not heard a word. I went to USCIS and they told me the file was still in VSC. They didn't explain why, but the IO told me she was requesting the file be sent to the field office and an interview was scheduled shortly thereafter.

I go the impression, although she never told me, that VSC had not done anything with it. However it would have been impossible to adjudicate at the service center, as there was zero evidence submitted with it and possibly some information added to the file about our being separated, domestic abuse (by her against me), and lack of marital bona fides.

My guess is that someone just went to sleep. But I'd still bet on an interview.
