Welcome to the group where we just wait, wait and wait. I130 would take an average of 5 months. After it gets approved, then it's another 1.5 year wait from the priority date before your wife can go to visa interview after submitting all documents requested by NVC. So for a minimum of 1 year, you just wait till you hear anything from NVC.

Spouse:

2015-06-16: I-130 Sent

2015-08-17: I-130 approved

2015-09-23: NVC received file

2015-10-05: NVC assigned Case number, Invoice ID & Beneficiary ID

2016-06-30: DS-261 completed, AOS Fee Paid, WL received

2016-07-05: Received IV invoice, IV Fee Paid

2016-07-06: DS-260 Submitted

2016-07-07: AOS and IV Package mailed

2016-07-08: NVC Scan

2016-08-08: Case Complete

2017-06-30: Interview, approved

2017-07-04: Visa in hand

2017-08-01: Entry to US

.

.

.

.

Myself:

2016-05-10: N-400 Sent

2016-05-16: N-400 NOA1

2016-05-26: Biometrics

2017-01-30: Interview

2017-03-02: Oath Ceremony

Hello Enoo,

It is great to know we are sharing a similar priority date. Mine is 6th July 2015. I have a question, in the other forum - 2015 filers, I read ..

NAME------------------PD----------NOA2--------NVC---------WL----------SCAN DATE-----CASECOMP-----INTERVIEW

What does NVC stand for? what have you received on 6th nov? Because I have just received the receipt letter and approved letter and nothing after. Should I be concerned?

NVC stands for National Visa Center.

once the petition approve by USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Service), approved petition forworded to NVC, where it waits for visa number to become available, though spouses and kids (unmarried under 21) and parents of US citizens donot wait for visa number, everybody else wait for their priorty date to become current.

you can check that on VISA BULLETIN

Hi. I appreciate your help. But I do knowand understand the full form of NVC. I did all research. What I asked and what is confusing to me is the nvc stage between approved letter and welcome letter, do you recv any other letter? Enoo says NVC date for him was Nov 6. How do you check ?
