I was checking my status online through nvc.

June 19 "administrative processing" after submission of 221g missing documents.

June 23 updated become "ready" then

June 24 back to "administrative processing"

June 29 updated again it says "ready" ? why? so confusing..

Anyone know what does it means? Thanks

Just think of AP as when someone has the folder in their hand working on it, Ready as it's sitting there waiting for someone. It can change back and forth a few times, just wait for issued.

I know its confusing right now. But the good thing is you know they are actively working on your case. I hope you hear good news soon!

It is good news. We were in a similar situation.

Our interview was April 27th. We had a 221g for a missing police clearence. We recieved it and sent it back early June.

Our case was sent to DOS on 16th June. Till nw there is no update we received. Can anybody give the DOS number?

That would be NVC. DOS doesn't give updates on cases anymore. Wording says DOS but everything goes to NVC.

Thanks for your reply. Should we get updates through e-mail or any other sources? I am reading from visa journey that many people got their case number after calling NVC.

I do believe they send an email when they have completed and sent your case to your embassy. I recall receiving the email very late though (way after I was already done with the interview) so its best to call them for your case number if you can find the time.

Really? I thought about calling the DOS today because it's a different number and when I had called NVC they wouldnt give us any info on our case. :/ we were interviewed June 15th and thought our status would've said AP by now since some others like ours had. But I guess they havent processed ours yet :( it's annoying checking CEAC and getting the same 'ready' and updated June 24th date. And no change to non immigrant either!
