My friend just realized that they are late to file the removal of conditions with about two months! It was through marriage and the wife entered with CR-1 in 2013 April. What would be the best approach to this situation?? Thanks.

A late filing can be accepted if for "good cause." However, they should have received at least one, and maybe two, notices from USCIS reminging them to file.

I'd get to a lawyer right quick. This is not a good situation, as the wife is already out of status.

Thanks tuckin14 for your response, he will be checking around for lawyers tomorrow. I hope all will be fine because apart from being negligent and forgetting they have no other reason not to have done this.
