Hello everybody, so today I've got this letter from USCIS called Potential Interview Waiver.

Does it mean that I will not have my interview? And they will make a decision without it?

not all k1 Aos applicants receive the letter. Our local office is not busy and we had an interview. It all depends on the local office that deals with the application. See our time line in my signature.

Nope. I have noticed that some local offices such as in Detroit always conduct interview AoS from K-1 visa because they are not busy. Three of people that I have known on VJ that their local office in Detroit and adjusted from K-1 visa had their interview done.

For OP:

There is a chance that you can get both, NPIW as well as interview will scheduled. If you follow another thread you will know that someone get slapped on face two times. NPIW and interview being scheduled, just be ready. I have been following thread about NPIW and there are a lot cases that you will find worth reading.

For most of us, NPIW is a cursed. You will find many horror stories from those who received the letter. Good luck!

oh my gosh why did they ask you in Florida to send your medicals to Fairfax??!?! Some of us that actually live in the Fairfax office area would REALLY love that they get busy on our cases. Isn't that why they have local offices....you know to serve the locals of that area??! I am forever baffled by their process.

I have no idea. It happens to many NPIW letter receivers where their cases sent to another local offices. And even so, the ryhme is also not the same. Some local offices handled NPIW cases are different to view each application. One VJ member here, her case also ended up in Fairfax and got approved approximately 3 weeks later after she sent her RFE. Another office handled it very quick like in New York that only took less than a week to approved after the applicant sent the RFE.

Very interesting. My husband is a NPIW case as well. He got that letter in December and we have not heard anything since. I'd be happy if ANY office wanted to pick up the case. But I hope for you that this means you will get an approval soon!
